Contest: Does your building have the best bike parking in Seattle?

Calling all Seattle architects, developers, and property managers:

Did you design or build an apartment, office, or other building with exceptional bicycle parking and related facilities?  Do you manage such an  building?

If so, enter our contest to be named as the best building for bike parking in the Seattle region (Everett to Tacoma)!

Curbed Seattle has agreed to be the exclusive media publisher of the contest results, which will highlight your pro-bike, pro-urbanist ranking to the real estate, development, and urbanist industries, as well as people looking to rent and buy housing.

In addition to an overall winner, winners will also be ranked by several other categories, such as by land use type (e.g., apartment, condo, software office space, hospitals and medical centers, educational facilities, industrial, etc.), as well as by building size.  In addition, there will be categories for: buildings in planning and design stages but not yet constructed; buildings opened within the last year; and for new bike parking within existing/remodeled buildings.

A range of factors will be considered, including quantity and quality of bike parking, easy of access and wayfinding, branding, comfort and creativity in the space, and inclusion of related amenities.

In order to be considered, any architect, developer, property manager, or property owner may apply by filling out the online form.  You will need to know a few things about your facilities, including the square-footage of the building and of the bike parking area, and the amount and types of the bike parking.  You will also need to provide photos and schematics, and arrange for a tour of the facilities by Bicycle Security Advisors to see the building in-person.

Besides your final rankings, there will be no monetary, financial, or other prizes.  All rankings and award decisions will be at the discretion of Bicycle Security Advisors.

Deadline is March 31
